Current Projects

This page is dedicated to various projects I have undertaken over the past year.

2007 University of Derby Ripe Degree show:

Bodyscapes - An exploration of the human form, surface and texture.
This project is a continuation of the self portrait work I had produced; the camera now taking a closer look at the texture and surface of not only my own body, but the bodies of other individuals.

Ongoing self portrait project:

The main essence of this project was to experiment with what you (the viewer) interpret as self portrait. With photographs usually requiring a certain level of aesthetic pleasure, I set myself the task of alienating the viewer with a series of images that instinctively provoke a reaction of repulsion or disgust. Using the reactions as a catalyst of reflection, I find that this series of images often invites the most varied of opinions.

2006 University of Derby Intrigue Degree show:

These images are the result of many weeks of experimenting with digital manipulation and compositional aspects of photography. Originally this was a brief set up by myself to further my technical and location planning abilities, the images took on a life of their own and ended up being part of the University of Derby 2006 Commercial Photography degree show.
